CafeGuidePH is a curated coffee shop directory designed to help users discover cafés across the Philippines. This policy explains how café listings, content, and submissions are handled, and outlines the rights and responsibilities of users and café owners.
2. Sources of Café Listings
Café listings on CafeGuidePH may be created using one or more of the following sources:
- Publicly available business information
- User-submitted recommendations or updates
- Curated research by the CafeGuidePH team
Listings may include business name, address, city, operating hours, amenities, geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude), and map-based location data.
CafeGuidePH does not guarantee that all listing information is complete, current, or accurate at all times.
3. Accuracy and Verification
While we make reasonable efforts to keep listings up to date, café information may change without notice. CafeGuidePH:
- Does not independently verify every detail of each listing
- Is not responsible for inaccuracies, closures, relocations, or changes in services
- Encourages users to verify details directly with the café before visiting
4. User-Submitted Content
Users may submit café recommendations, corrections, or other content (“User Content”).
By submitting content, you confirm that:
- The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- You have the right to submit the content
- The content does not infringe on third-party rights
CafeGuidePH reserves the right to review, edit, approve, or remove User Content at its discretion.
5. Café Owner Requests
a. Requesting Corrections or Updates
Café owners may request updates or corrections to their listings, including:
- Business name
- Address or location details
- Operating hours
- Amenities or descriptions
Requests must include sufficient information to verify ownership or authorization.
b. Claiming a Listing
CafeGuidePH may offer a process for café owners to claim and manage their listings. Claiming a listing does not guarantee promotional placement or featured status.
c. Photo or Content Removal
Café owners may request the removal of specific photos or content associated with their listing. Requests must clearly identify the content in question and include proof of ownership or authorization.
d. Listing Removal Requests
CafeGuidePH generally lists cafés using publicly available business information. However, café owners may request full listing removal. Such requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may require verification of ownership.
6. Editorial Control and Moderation
CafeGuidePH reserves full editorial control over:
- Which cafés are listed
- How listings are structured and displayed
- The organization, categorization, and presentation of directory data
We may remove or modify listings or content that are inaccurate, outdated, misleading, inappropriate, or harmful to the integrity of the platform.
7. No Affiliation or Endorsement
CafeGuidePH is an independent directory and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any café listed on the platform unless explicitly stated.
All trademarks, brand names, and logos remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Data Use and Reuse Restrictions
Café listing data, including compiled business details, geographic coordinates, and map-based information, is provided for personal discovery and browsing purposes only.
Unauthorized reuse, scraping, extraction, or redistribution of CafeGuidePH’s directory content—whether manual or automated—is prohibited. This includes use for competing directories, commercial databases, or derivative services.
9. Policy Updates
This Content & Listing Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of CafeGuidePH after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
